The Challenge
Our client is a leading training and education provider. As part of their product development cycle, they wanted to incorporate more insight from the different educators delivering their courses. Educators have a huge influence on the course experience, but their feedback was not being collected. Research was required to help understand educator perceptions of a number of courses, to build into upcoming product reviews.
The Solution
We designed a multi-stage approach to address needs:
Discovery: stakeholder inception workshop to understand the market, define hypotheses.
Product evaluation: qualitative deep dive to determine educator needs and product perceptions.
Product validation: quantitative measurement to gather a wider spectrum of views as a ‘sense check’.
Debrief: recommend and prioritise actions.
We spoke to educators around the globe to probe their experience and needs of the course content, delivery and their relationship with our client.
The Outcome
The research provided an understanding of educator perceptions and how their needs are being met by our client, when delivering training. We outlined clear actions and areas for improvement to build into the product development cycle, which would improve educator and candidate experience. The insight helped to refine the product and define strategy to be more customer centric during the product development cycle.
